ModelMaker H120 3D Scanner

The Nikon ModelMaker H120 is a category-leading portable 3D laser scanner capable of extremely detailed, precise, and high-speed measurements of nearly all materials or parts.

Its blue laser technology, ultra-fast data transmission speed, specially developed Nikon optics, and the ability to intricately measure even the most challenging parts combine to surpass the productivity limits of portable laser scanning. The ModelMaker H120 achieves ultra-fast, high-definition 3D scanning.

Nikon’s custom optics and low-noise blue laser technology deliver incredibly detailed and clear results, extending beyond just the 3D shape of the part to include dimensions and feature positions.

With a category-leading accuracy of just 7 microns, the portable scanner ensures precise scanning data, enabling contactless measurement of parts with higher tolerances, regardless of size; the ModelMaker H120 allows measurements on small parts up to 2.5 meters.

The scans obtained allow for mathematical overlays, detailed and precise data comparison, and processing of related reporting files.

Reverse engineering operations are also possible, starting from a scan of fixed and movable parts of a mold and obtaining a mathematical representation of the part through CAD overlay. In case of mold breakages, where the mold mathematics are absent, the scanner can reconstruct the broken parts.
